I haven’t done anything remotely creative with my nails in some time. I used OPI’s “I have a herring problem” and Sephora by OPI’s “Caribbean Cocktail” as the accent color behind the snowflake.
Quick and plain less festive nails!
Oh I’ve been busy. Good busy.
I am now a Promotional artist for NARS. =D Such an accomplishment!
Now on to today’s look.
Make Up For Ever Blush; 10 and 14
NARS; Sheer Glow Foundation in Macao
Bombshell; black eyeliner.
MAC; Eyeshadows – Cranberry, Mover Shaker and some Sable, Lipstick – So Chaud and Liner – Redd
Saturday morning, I headed up to LA for a class at the Make Up For Ever Pro Loft (I know right!) and it was absolutely amazing.
The class focused on how to transform a face which takes the Art of Contour to the next level. Lijha Stewart taught us how highlight and contour can completely change our make up and our client’s appearance.
Lijha is truly amazing at what she does!
I took everything I was taught and speed back down to Oceanside and created this look!
I think I did an excellent job for this to be first time using Make Up For Ever’s special fx products.
I used cotton balls, MUFE; plasto wax, spirit glue and their special effects palette. Definitely plan to explore the world of special fx makeup a little more now.
As I mentioned, I was over Birchbox and their slow shipping. This month I decided to try Ipsy, better known as Myglambag. I was excited because their online community is very active. Here is what I received in the Hello, Bombshell bag
Teeny tiny samples of Coastal Scents eyeshadow. Pequi Oil Treatment by Couture Colour. A great eye liner by Be A Bombshell, that I used this morning. Lip Bomb Glossy Lacquer by Mirenesse and a mascara by The Balm.
I was a little disappointed with what I received since previous month’s bags where great in my opinion. As I use more of the products, hopefully I’ll change by mind in a positive way. But not bad for $10 and the super cute bag.
I picked an Urban Decay palette from Nordstrom’s Rack a couple of weeks ago for $12. My first UD palette actually. Shocker! I’m not crazy in love with the Naked palette. Shocker again! I really like this Skull Shadow Box. This palette is on sale as apart of Urban Decay’s Family and Friends sale.
On my lid is Vert. Creased with Twice Baked. Inner corner and lower lid touched barely with Blunt. Outer corner is filled with Oil Slick.
My lip color is a mix of Revlon’s Va Va Violet and Mac’s Beaux.
I have been receiving my Birchboxes later and later every month it seems. This month I received my shipment email on the 10th. The tracking information wasn’t updated until the 15th. I sent them an email inquiring why I hadn’t received mine yet on the 17th and I finally received it on 22nd. So with all of that being stated, I cancelled by subscription.
Here is what I received…
21 drops – Focus Aromatherapy Blend. – I love the rosemary and peppermint oil. I applied to my temples as suggested and just breathed deeply. Works wonders. Also it is 100% natural.
Color Club Nail Polish – Haven’t tried yet.
Nexxus – Split End Treatment System – No need for.
twistband – Lace Hair Tie – No need for.
Vasanti – Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator – I’m rather cautious when trying new face product so I just applied a small amount on my cheek. Worked it in a circular motion as directed and washed it off. Left my skin feeling smooth, and not dried out. Next time I’ll do my whole face.
Mighty Leaf Tea Company – Green Tea Tropical, Chamomile Citrus, and Vanilla Bean black tea. – I opened the green tea pouch as was greeted with wonderful amazing flavor. I added just a little sugar and boom! Amazing tea in my belly! Definitely will be buying from them!
& a $25 Madewell giftcard towards a purchase of $75 or more which expires at the end of the month.
